One Year and a lot has happened!

Well On July 25th Eric and I celebrated our one year anniversary! We spent the day with our friends Paul and Sarah and Montezuma's Castle and also went to dinner in Sedona at a yummy cowboy restaurant! We had some super great caramel apples that I wish I had a picture of!!! Anyway...back to so much has happened in the last year! We moved to a new apartment in Yuma and started our school year last year! In September we traveled to NY to Tonya and Marks wedding and in October we welcomed Evan into the family our little nephew!Then November came and we welcomed our newest edition KALI!!! Christmas was spent at my parents in Colorado then the NEW YEAR came and boy were we in for some surprises that we didn't expect! The economy went to the pooper and the day after my birthday the school we were working for decided to tell me that they would not be offering me a contract for the next year. Which also happened to be the day before we were to leave for Florida for Spring Break! So we started lookin for jobs and decided that we would pack up and drive to NY for the summer to hang with the fam! HOW fun! So in the mean time I took 11 days off school every Friday and some other days to sit by the pool and interview for an online teaching job. Which I got and let me tell you what a pain that can be! We then applied for at least 20 jobs together to hopefully get out of YUMA!!!!! We got ONE CALL!!!! So we set up for an interview in CAMP VERDE AZ on our way to NY. Boy were we relying on this to fall through. Eric interviewed for 1.5 hours then they wanted to talk to me about volleyball... so anywho long story short we both got jobs here and couldn't believe it!!!!!!!! We didn't have to go back to Yuma to live.. and the school in Yuma called me to see if I could come back!!! WHAT IDIOTS!!!! So ok.. we came back from NY drove to Yuma and pack a uhaul in 118 degree hot sun weather and got heat stroke I swear.. and we started working and WE LOVE IT!!!! So that has been our crazy year!

One Fish, Two Fish, Three Fish.....

We spent the weekend at Eric's parentsl akehouse in Freedom, NY. We had so much fun in between the rain. I think the highlight was when we had to come in with the giant fish Eric caught(20inches) we had to bring it in because it didn't fit on the stringer. So we decided to head back out! SO GLAD we did because I caught a biggy! But before we did we all got back in the boat and pushed off.. well Erics shirt got caught on the post and fell in the lake! I didn't want to laugh because I didn't want to get yelled at for laughing but then Tonya and I were stranded without a paddle because of course when I asked if we needed one Eric's response was "NO"! Well, I don't know how to use a motor and got us stranded until Tonya thought of using a life jacket to get us back to shore! CLASSIC!!! We had fun. I only managed to tangle up my line in a tree three times!!!! That is good I thought! Then on Saturday I caught an 18 in fish! So great! here you go! The one that Eric is holding with the Camo on is actually MY fish! I don't touch them.. just catch them!

WOW!!!

THIS IS NOT A BABY GREMLIN!!!

This is perhaps the GROSSEST yet most interesting thing I have seen in well forever. I have never ever seen a baby bat! Erics mom found it while she was gardening next to the chimney. Apparently it got kicked out of the home for bats! It was still alive when we found it! Eric looks excited doesn't he! I suggest not touching them.. it was grossly new baby slimy! I couldn't get a good enough look at it so I too some pictures to look at later! How fun huh!

Who doesn't love the Falls!

This place is amazing.. It is unbelievable the amount of water that goes over these in one minute.. let alone a day. I love it! It is so pretty here. We just drove up to Goat Island for a looksy. We did the maid of the mist last year! Freakin AWESOME!!!! Any who... love it!

WORST MOVIE OF THE YEAR AWARD!

I was seriously disappointed in this movie. Mainly because the whole movie followed the book pretty well until you got to the end. Then they totally threw you for a loop and by doing this they really pissed off every viewer possible that ever read the book. Now I can see if you didn't read the book you wouldn't know the difference. So imagine for a moment.....sitting in a theatre for TWO HOURS crying.. sniffing.. hearing others do the same.. then at the end BAAAAMMMM!! totally different than the book! That is not right and it pisses me off! I am a huge book fan and when the movie comes out I think they should follow the book. Yes, not every single thing.. but for goodness sake...the ending should follow it! IM SO ANNOYED I spent 17.50 on a crap movie that only made me angry! Sorry I had to VENT!

Im pretty sure I have THEEEEEE CUUUUUTEESSSTTT kitties in the world! I know most of you blog about your children and the fun you have with them....well I sometimes find myself saying how much I love these little fur balls! I can't imagine what I will be like when I have a human child!!! and not a Kat Child! Anyway... we are in the midst of of packing up the apartment.. and I am training for a new online teaching job the I just got a couple weeks ago... so I have been spending a lot of time in this spare computer room as a I call it packing stuff up listening to some music and then also doing some required training for my new class... so of course the girls must be near. Kali for example.. if she does not know where you are she feels the need to MEOW.. very loudly until she hears your voice NO MATTER WHAT TIME OF DAY! Maggie needs to be touching Eric if he is in bed and going to sleep.. so is Maggie but she will not settle in until she is touching him and her paw is on his chest! Any who.. these pics are to show you how much they need to be by me and how much they LOVE the printer! if it goes off they are instantly waiting to see the end product.. as you see here they both tuckered out and got tired of waiting! Kalie was too tired to even MOVE! So there you have it! My cute KATS!

Now to see Cody, Kim and the Girls!

So right after we found out that Matt and Christy where coming to San Diego I found out that Cody, Kim and the girls were coming! They were goin on a surprise trip to Disneyland and SeaWorld! SO of course... I HAD TO GO! SO Eric and I took the day off and went to Sea World with the girls! I was so happy to see them. I miss them so so much! We sat in the splash zone at the Shamu show and lucky us we didn't get too wet! We had the perfect seats. We sat right next to the platform where they came up and did their tricks. I saw Shamu so close it was so great! We touched the starfish, Stingrays and saw the sesame street and gang in 3-D. I took Ash on a little water roller coaster.. I don't know if she was too happy with me.. infact at one point she yelled " I HATE YOU FOR TAKING ME ON THIS RIDE!" but she forgot it soon after and tried to convince Eric to sit in the front row! We saw some sharks oh it was just a great day! I love them so much! Thanks guys for such a wonderful time!

A little trip to San Diego to see Matt and Christy!

SO about three weeks ago we took a trip to San Diego because Matt and Christy were coming! Well... We got a hotel close to the gaslamp and enjoyed San Diego with my Bro! It was so nice! I hate being to far away but at least San Diego is close and they love it there. We spent Saturday night walking around the Village Seaport and the bay then went to the gaslamp for dinner! It was some Pizza Place that was so so good but I can't remember the name! Sunday we went to the peir again and then caught the ferry to Coronado. We walked around looked at the Hotel Del and walked on the beach a little. I always find something new I love about San Diego when I go there! Thanks Matt and Christy! We had FUN! VACATION!

What is it about vacation that makes you want to move to the vacation spot so badly? I have been wondering about this question ever since we got back from Florida. We went to see Eric's Grandparents who live in the Villages in Florida. It ROCKS! like we are talking take your golf cart everywhere! Golfing..swimming... which you must be over 30 to attend the adult pool in these retirement places..or old women call and tattle tale on you as if you were doing cannon balls off the side of the pool and splashing off the old people when you were really just lying in a lounge chair getting some sun! Still bitter but I will get over it! Now.. on to our exciting vacation.. we went to Daytona beach, Busch Gardens(Awesome!!!!!!) Manatee Springs where we went snorkling and that was cool... I didn't get the chance to see a alligator and I was so excited to see on in the WILD...we went to the gulf coast a little redneck town called Cedar Keys. So fun. I will post pics... All very cool.. 1st Manatee Springs where I didn't see the alligator but saw snapping turtles.. and fish! next Cedar Keys... and some other random shots....hope you enjoy!wait reverse that .. cedar first then manatee... they call it manatee springs because in the winter time the manatees come there to mate!

Runnin Like Maniacs!! Blisters and ALL!!!!

I wish I had a picture to document this event. I always forget the camera on such events. It may have something to do with getting up extremely early on a SATURDAY! I have been wanting to get back into running races just for the pure joy of saying I finished since I ran the 10K in SLC on Pioneer Day! ANYWHO...... so Eric and I (well I decided this for Eric he didn't really have a choice!!!) to run a 10K in Yuma called the "Great Yuma Road Race" This year is was on Valentines Day. It started at 8:15 right before the Rodeo Parade. So we followed the parade route for about 2 miles.. I wish it would have been for more than this but I didn't have a choice in the matter. We then kept running past the infamous trailer parks and sewer treatment plant(yeah just imagine your 5th mile breathing in poop smells!!! then reaching a gravel road to turn around and have to head back 1.5 miles to the finish line running back through the smell of really awful poop!!!!! That is the only picture i will paint for you so if you would like USE YOUR IMAGINATION be my guest. My cute Hubs decided that he would run the race with me... and not leave me in the dust. Mind you I do 5 hours of Aerobics at school all day but let me tell you people it is totally different than being in running shape. However, I finished with a blister the size of a quarter on the arch of my foot.. and one underneath my second toe so it is bound to fall off within weeks.(this must be a pattern for me since it fell off the last time I ran..) This is attractive I know. It wouldn't be a big deal if I didn't live in the sunniest place ON EARTH and wasn't going to Florida for spring break. So now I get to sport my flip flops and shorts with NO TOENAIL! Like Erics sister says.."at least people aren't that observant!!!" So anyway we were proud of our finish. We made with not training or running really ever in 65 PROUD minutes! That is 5 minutes faster than I ran the one in SLC! I might do the next one on March 14th. I'll keep you posted!

Cute Kitty's

I love my Kitty's as we all know. They are the equivalent to some of your children to me. I can't get enough of them. They do such cute and funny things. Maggie is so loving to Kali and HATES ME! She is always loving her, playing with her and cleaning her I got the cutest picture of them hugging....I couldn't not post it... along with some other ones that I think are adorable! I am perhaps the cat lady but I do have the cutest cats ever!

My NEW LOVE

Ok...so I know none of you know this but I am trying to grow my hair out. I once had it long and it took me two obnoxious years of hating my hair and a small pact with my friend Emily not to cut our hair until January of 2007 (I THINK) and she FAILED!!! However I made it and my hair was past my mid back and looked nice. Then I got BORED!!! I felt like the hot rollers, flowers, straight and sleek, and finally the sometimes let loose and natural curl would come out! About a week before I made my big move to Arizona I went to my hair girl and said CUT IT OFF!!!! I need a style... I feel too young and I don't have a style! So I did the trendy Victoria Beckham style.. and after a few REALLY bad trims and cuts in AZ I decided last Christmas (07) to grow it out.. I really need the feeling of YOUNG and FRESH~ I know... so anyway about my new love they are called VELCRO ROLLERS.. I am sure most of you already know and are addicted to yours but if you have not tried them you will most certainly fall in love with them!!!!! Here are a few pictures.... keep in mind...I have NO MAKE-UP on ....its very early in the morning (5:30am).....so don't be alarmed....or scared for that matter. They are in order....before....during....after!!!!! IF this doesn't get you hooked I don't know what will.. OH maybe if I told you the volume LASTS ALL DAY... all you need to do to spruce it up is use your fingers and a little hair spritz!!!!!!!!!

Ok yeah I am obsessed with my magnets! I have this dream that I will make millions off of them one day.. when the economy isn't crap and I have already made my millions teaching! HAHAHA.. now we all know that isn't going to happen..so I will just show you my latest styles and creations. I sat down yesterday and made about 115. I made thirty contact information ones.. that aren't posted of course but the rest are some I just made up.. I won't put them all just my favorites! I really like the one with the frog!
