Lily loves hanging out on her blanket in her diaper! I mean who wouldn't want to sit under the fan in their underwear when it's 100 degrees outside at 7pm!!! She also loves her rattles. She is starting to Coo and talk to us a lot. It is pretty fun and I must say she is pretty stinkin CUTE! I don't know what we ever did without her. Our whole lives are changed and we love it. It's all about Lilyana! It is so fun to watch her do all these new things on a daily basis. I think my favorite part of our day is when we get up at 5:30ish....(when I say we I mean Lily and me!)I come in to get her and when she sees me and hears my voice she gives me a big smile! I just melt! It is so hard to believe that I had her only two months ago!
We ventured to church on Sunday. We got up got the princess ready and headed out the door. I was prepared for the surge of people that would come with our arrival after 8 weeks. EVERYONE wanted to see Lilyana and I was relieved no one asked to hold her and no one touched her. I was so surprised. Now I wasn't prepared for what took place after Sacrament. I thought maybe I would have to change her diaper, but I was not prepared for what was in store. I took her with my a diaper and wipes to the Mother's Lounge and felt something wet on my hands...oh crap I thought.. and OH CRAP is right. We lasted one whole hour in our cute Sunday dress before we were carried down the hall back to the chapel in a diaper. Good thing I had put an extra set of clothes in the diaper back a few days ago. What a mess.
Just had to take a picture of how cute she looked at Grandma and Grandpas Wilson's.. Can't say so much about myself.. but the headband is SOOO CUTE!!! Thanks Grandma!
Yes, that is right.. sleep is a good thing.. However, I would have preferred a little more last night! Poor thing was up every hour to two hours tootin' or needing something to eat.. Who knows what I ate but is certainly didn't agree with her tummy! I live the sleeping pictures!
Who knew that Lily hates to take a bath! The best part for her is when she is out and wrapped in her towel. That is when she stops crying! Until I take the towel off to put lotion, a diaper and her clothes! She sure smells and looks clean when we are all done though!
So I have a number of gowns that I love for nighttime because you don't have to mess with the buttons in the middle of the night. Well our little pumpkin has some long legs because all of the gowns 0-3 months her feet stick out of. I thought this was so cute I had to take a picture!
Well after 9 months and oh roughly 14 hours of Labor she has arrived. I am guessing because I was in labor most of Tuesday and finally gave in at around 11:30pm and woke Eric up and said he needed to take me to the hospital. He said "REALLY?" UHHHH yeah really! I had contractions for two hours that were five minutes apart and by the time we got to the hospital they were three. So naturally I am thinking that this may go by rather fast...BOY WAS I WRONG.. as soon as a I got that wonderful epidural...it slowed me down.. so needless to say I spent the night having contractions that I COULD NOT feel which was absolutely amazing! Then she show began about 7 am...after the doctor broke my water...yippee! He says to me..."Well, we will see you about noon!" WHAT NOON!!!! thats a long time! Well, anywho... we had our little pumpkin Lilyana at 12:31 pm on April 27th... OUR ACTUAL DUE DATE!!!! I find that fascinating! I o have a funny story... During the "pushing" event of the labor the doctor started LAUGHING... yes you read correctly... laughing....I was down to business pushing away and the nurse is telling me how great I am doing and that is how we like it. The Dr. starts to laugh.... I was ticked.. I thought he was laughing at me... I asked, if he was laughing at me an he said no "Roberta"... (that is the nurse) He then broke out in song... saying that she sounded like that song " Thats the way uh huh we like it uh huh uh huh. Seriously, what Dr. does that during the most intense part of labor!
We actually didn't decide on a name until the next day.. that naming your child thing is HARD!
